Surviving The War

After escaping Majdanek, she lived for a while in Warsaw disguised as a Catholic Pole, with the help of he brother's friend, the sculptor, Adam Procki.

Driven out of Warsaw into the countryside and later, after the liberation by the Russians, returning to Lublin to find all her relatives have perished, she decides to leave Poland.

She manages to arrive to Vienna, there she takes the Alberg Express train to Basel where she joined her brother Tadek (Theodor).
